BLUEDOG ist das Solo-Projekt des Hamburger Gitarristen und Songwriters Stefan Aurel.
Die erste Single “You Cant`t Always Get What You Want” erschien bereits 1993 auf Polydor/Universal und bescherte Stefan und seinen Mannen einen beachtlichen Radiohit -
bis weit über die deutschen Grenzen hinaus.

Über die Jahre erschienen diverse Airplay- und Chart - Hits wie z.B “Fun In Your Eyes” oder “Here I Am” (Titelsong zum ZDF / Kinofilm “Ehe auf Zeit”).
Neben seiner jetzigen Hauptverpflichtung als Produzent,Komponist und Gitarrist der Rockband KICKHUNTER findet Stefan Aurel immer wieder den Weg zurück zu seinen “sanfteren” musikalischen Wurzeln: relaxte akustische Gitarren,eine schwebende
Hammond-Orgel, ausgefeilte Vokal-Harmonien,die zeitweise an die grossen Vorbilder
Eagles oder Fleetwood Mac erinnern. Melodien pur - der ultimative Cabrio-Soundtrack!

Neben Künstlern wie LISA STANSFIELD, TEARS FOR FEARS oder
CHRIS NORMAN sind ebenfalls BLUEDOG mit “Run Baby Run” vertreten.
Auflage 480 000...Zudem werden BLUEDOG im redaktionellen Teil der
Leserschaft näher gebracht. 15 Songs plus Video für die erste Single

Summer`s back with Bluedog!

Bluedog is the sideproject of Kickhunter -
guitarist and songwriter Stefan Aurel. Don`t expect hardrocking sounds! This is the other side of Stefan. As a big fan of westcoast- and countryrock he was always working on songs in that style. Great harmonies,hammond
organ,piano,harp,twin-solos- big ballads,pure rock`n`roll-the result is Bluedog!

With help of his friends Pascal Kravetz (Vocals,hammond,piano),famous of his work with Robert Palmer,Jimmy Barnes,Bruce Springsteen,Peter Maffay a.o., Slizzy Bob (vocals,guitar),soloartist and member of the Hobnail Boots, session drummer Rene Robran and bassplayer Claus Umland - Stefan recorded about 30 songs through the last years.
15 of them are now on "Son of a Beach".

Other guests include famous german actors and musicians Fabian Harloff (vocal on "You`ve Got a Friend"),Patrick Bach (harp on "Dreaming Again"), Ex-Bad Company lead singer Robert Hart (Background-vocals on "Where Were You"),Lukas Hilbert (bass on "Friend")...

12 songs are originals,written by Stefan alone or with his friends. "Pacific Ocean Blues" is an Dennis Wilson original. Dennis was the drummer of the Beach Boys. He died about 20 years ago. He is still underrated as a outstanding singer and brilliant songwriter (listen to his album "Pacific Ocean Blue"). "You can`t always get what you want" was Bluedogs only release a few years ago on Poldor and a big hit in the eastern states of Europe. "You`ve Got a Friend" was always a big favourite -fits nice with Bluedogs upbeat-tempo...
